It is rather unfortunate that over the last years, the travel industry has had to fight terrorism, SARS, tsunamis, influenza, swine flu, plus the first ever true global economic downturn. Through all this the industry has proven to be solid, resilient and dynamic, finding new strategies to deal with difficulty. There are constantly fresh complications and opportunity to which the sector must all over again adapt and respond.
